Electronic elections of Libyan Youth Parliament started

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Youth, Marwa Al-Baroni, announced the start of the electronic elections of the Libyan Youth Parliament affiliated to the Ministry of Youth.
During a press conference in Tripoli on Wednesday, Al-Baroni presented detailed information about the Libyan Youth Parliament and its goals, saying that the parliament is considered one of the initiatives of the Ministry to raise awareness of the democratic life and the principles of peaceful transfer of power.
She indicated that the Ministry of Youth had formed a committee to prepare, organize, implement and supervise the electronic elections.
Al-Baroni pointed out that voters should have completed 17 years of age and do not exceed 40 years on the day of the election, while candidates for membership in the Youth Parliament should have completed 17 years of age and do not exceed 25, and must not be a member of the Higher Committee for Elections.
