Egyptian Foreign Minister and UN envoy to Libya held talks in Cairo

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held talks with the United Nations Special Envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, in Cairo on Saturday.
Both sides reviewed the latest developments in Libya and the efforts to move the various tracks of the Libyan file to a comprehensive political settlement.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said that Minister Shoukry stressed during the talks the importance of the exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, stressing the need for any international moves in this regard.
Hafez added that the UN envoy briefed the Egyptian Foreign Minister on the results of his contacts with the various parties concerned with the Libyan crisis, expressing his appreciation for Egypt’s role in supporting the stability in Libya.
