Al-Manqoush meets Italian Foreign Minister’s special envoy to Libya

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, held a meeting in Tripoli with the Italian Foreign Minister’s special envoy to Libya, Nicola Orlando, accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino.

Both sides discussed the latest political situations in Libya.

The Italian envoy affirmed his country’s support for the mediation efforts made by the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Williams, to reach an agreement with all political parties in Libya in order to achieve parliamentary and presidential elections according to a correct constitutional basis.

He stressed that the stability of Libya is important for the stability of the Mediterranean region.
