Al-Lafi and the British Ambassador discuss the political process

The Vice Chairman of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, held a meeting with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, to discuss the political process in Libya.
Both sides reviewed ways to advance the political process and lay down a constitutional basis for holding elections in order to reach a solution to the Libyan crisis.
During the meeting, Al-Lafi stressed the need to restore the election momentum to meet the aspirations of the Libyans voters. He also commended the initiative of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libya regarding agreeing on a legal framework for the elections.
