Al-Zaytona Radio in Bani Walid celebrates World Radio Day

Al-Zaytona Radio in Bani Walid on Thursday, February 13, marked World Radio Day.

The radio aired a special program to celebrate the event under the theme “we are the radio, we are diversity”.

Speaking to the Libyan Cloud News Agency, radio presenter, Hosam Harboush, expressed his hope that the radio would be a tool for reconciliation by sending messages of peace to heal the nation’s wounds.

World Radio Day is celebrated all over the world on February 13 every year. 

UNESCO first started celebrating Radio Day globally on February 13, 2012. The date marks the establishment of United Nations Radio in 1946.
