A woman died and more than 50 people fell sick due to food poisoning in Tripoli

A woman has died and more than 50 people including children hospitalized due to food poisoning in Tripoli.

A doctor in the Ambulance and Emergency Department at Tripoli University Hospital said that all the cases were celebrating at a hall in Souq Al-Joma area.

An inspector at the Food and Drug Control Center confirmed that samples were referred to the laboratory, awaiting results to find out the reason behind the poisoning, explaining that the cases were celebrating the birth of a new baby.
