Three cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant discovered in Tripoli

The Director of the National Center for Disease Control Haidar Al-Sayeh held a press conference on Thursday to talk about the latest developments in the epidemiological situation in the country.

Al-Sayeh clarified that three cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant were discovered in Tripoli on Wednesday, indicating that the infected people have no travel history in the recent past, which gives an indication that there is a social transmission of this rapidly spreading virus, warning that no person in Libya will be excluded from contracting this virus.

He stressed the need to take the coronavirus vaccine and the importance of adhering to precautionary measures.
