The National Program for Open Heart Surgery adopted

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba approved Wednesday the National Program for Open Heart Surgery.

This came during his meeting with the Deputy Minister of Health for Medical Centers Affairs, the Chairman of the Social Solidarity Fund, an advisor to the Minister of Finance, and the Head of the Medical Services Authority.

The program aims to perform 300 open-heart surgeries through medical centers in Benghazi, Misrata, Zliten, Tripoli, and the National Heart Center, in an effort to localize treatment.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to adopt other programs to conduct operations for artificial joints, cochlear implants, and corneal transplantation.
