The Ministry of Health opened an isolation department at Tripoli Central Hospital on Sunday, September 13.

The head of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Coronavirus, Khalifa Al-Bakoush, said that the epidemiological situation in Libya is very critical and that the cases of infections are increasing.

He expressed regret for the lack of public awareness, saying that some citizens still do not wear masks in the streets while social events are still being held.

The head of the isolation department, Najah Markus, stated that the department has been equipped with a bed capacity of 100 beds.
