Public Health Emergency Operations Center opened in Benghazi

Benghazi Medical Center opened on Sunday, March 08, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center.

The World Health Organization provided the center in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

A coordinator at the World Health Organization, Sanad al-Majbari, said that the Operations Center aims to facilitate the management of emergency situations for all risks resulting from natural or man-made diseases.

“It also aims to enhance the safety of the individual and society during crises and to monitor events and disasters and respond quickly to them,” he added.

Sanad confirmed that the Operations Center is prepared to respond to all types of disasters including the spread of epidemics such as the Coronavirus.
