A campaign for early detection of breast cancer launched in Tripoli

The 12th national campaign for early detection of breast cancer was launched at Mitiga Military Hospital in Tripoli on Saturday.
The campaign began with awareness lectures, as well as clarification of examination methods, and an overview of the importance of examination with a mammogram to detect breast cancer that was recently operated in the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Department at the hospital.
Professor of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tripoli, Noureddine Oreibi, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that this campaign comes from the importance of raising awareness of this type of disease, and because of its effective impact on the health of the individual and society, through lectures and distribution of brochures, self-examination and periodic examination.
