Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli

Students are complaining about the lack of textbooks, weeks after the start of the new school year.

The Director of the Center for Curricula, Al-Taher Al-Habib, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that there has been a delay in printing the textbooks for this year, which made all educational institutions suffer from the textbook shortage.

He said that this situation has affected the students in the first place and increased their suffering, as well as the teachers and the parents, describing this situation as a tragedy.

Al-Habib explained that there are many reasons for this delay, most notably is the failure to allocate the needed funds for printing the textbooks, blaming the Ministry of Planning for this.

He added that they are working to print the textbooks in record time, expecting that textbooks will able ready in the middle of the first semester.
