The launch of Ejraat and EuroMed Trade Helpdesk online platforms

The Ministry of Economy and Trade announced on Wednesday the launch of Ejraat and EuroMed Trade Helpdesk online platforms.
The announcement came during a meeting that brought together the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hawij, along with the Deputy Head of EU Mission in Libya, José Luis Sanchez Alegre, the Chief Executive Officer at Expertise, Jeremie Pellet, the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Deeb, and the Head of the General Information Authority, Abdul Al-Basit Al-Baour.
The two platforms are part of the EU-funded EU4PSL programme which is implemented by Expertise France in partnership with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Ejraat platform offers business owners for different business procedures detailed information on the institutions involved, required documents and estimated cost and time. For instance, users can find a step-by-step guide to register a business, open a store, pay taxes and invest in Libya.
While EuroMed Trade Helpdesk platform provides Libyan SMEs and companies with information about markets, tariffs and import requirements in Europe and the Mediterranean region. It aims to strengthen economic ties between Libya and the European Union, and other Mediterranean countries and foster economic integration and trade in the region by helping companies save costs on information gathering.
They aim to contribute to the development of the business environment and services provided to citizens and create job opportunities that support the economy’s revival and diversification.
