Libya Film Institute showcased documentaries and short films produced by Libyan filmmakers

The Libya Film Institute organized on Saturday, October 23, screening of documentaries and short films produced by a group of Libyan filmmakers, as part of Khotwa (Step) Project.
The Director of the Libya Film Institute, Samer Al-Amri, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the project aims to support new generations of storytellers who are able to use films as a tool to bring about positive change in society.
“We are trying to connect Libyan filmmakers with international donor organizations, international festivals, networking with each other in Libya, and trying to provide them with funding opportunities, as well as training and consulting opportunities.” Al-Amri added.
The Director of the Media Office of the High National Elections Commission, Sami Al-Sharif, explained that one of the goals of the Commission is that young people contribute in putting forward ideas that would raise the level of awareness about the elections and their importance.
