The Italian Defense Minister expressed concern over the presence of foreign mercenaries in Libya

The Italian Defense Minister, Lorenzo Guerini, said that the presence of foreign mercenaries and fighters in Libya is a matter of concern.

In his briefing before the joint foreign and defense committees of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and Senate on Italy’s participation in international military missions, Guerini added that after the elections are held in Libya, it will be necessary to move forward to reform the security sector in this country.
