The Presidential Council called the Prime Minister for a meeting to name a minister of defense

The Presidential Council, in its capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, asking him to expedite the nomination of a minister of defense without further delay.
The Council invited Al-Dabaiba to attend a meeting next Sunday, July 4, in the office of the Supreme Commander of the Army to discuss nomination of a minister of defense.
In its letter to the Prime Minister, the Presidential Council threatened to take a decision and name the minister of defense in the event of his absence from the meeting and to refer the nomination directly to the House of Representatives for approval.
