Libyan and American cooperation in the information and communications technology sector

The chairman of the Libyan Telecommunications Holding (LPTIC), Faisel Gergab, met in Tripoli with the US embassy’s Commercial Attaché, Daniel Liss, the Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Libya, Debbie Hirst, and a group of American telecommunication and technology companies interested in investing in Libya.
During the meeting, LPTIC outlined its services in Libya and the importance of cooperation with American technology companies in development and investment projects.
Gergab stated that LPTIC’s plans for 2021-2023 aim to develop the information and communications technology sector and improve investments in the country.
On her part, the Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Libya, Debbie Hirst, expressed the American companies’ desire to work with LPTIC to strengthen partnerships between both sides in the field of telecommunications and technology.
