Health Employees in protest over delayed salaries

Employees of the Health Services Department in Tripoli have organized a protest in front of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of National Accord to demand their unpaid salaries.

A number of doctors, nurses and medical workers participated in the protest.

The protesters held up banners saying “We demand our legitimate rights – We are not beggars“.

The protesters announced the suspension of work at all health facilities affiliated with the department until all their salaries are paid.

One of the protesters told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the protesters have not received their salaries since December 2019.
