The National Center for Disease Control launches capacity building program

The Department of Health Promotion at the National Center for Disease Control has concluded the first phase of the capacity building program in educational institutions for the academic year 2019-2020.
The first phase of the program targeted educational institutions in Central Tripoli Municipality and lasted for six weeks.
This program aims to build capacities within educational institutions to enhance the concept of community health.
140 paramedics, health supervisors, social workers and psychologists took part in the program.
The center held a ceremony to honor the participants on Thursday, January 02.
The director of the Department of Health Promotion, Amina al-Hamidi, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the capacity building program will be implemented in stages.
“We started from Central Tripoli Municipality and we will launch the second stage in Souq al-Jouma’a Municipality”, she said.
