#Libyan_Cloud_News_Agency - Misrata.

“The negotiations with the migrants rescued by the ship “Nivin” last Thursday have resulted in seven deaths”, said Col. Tawfiq al-Sukir, deputy commander of the central sector of the Coast Guard and Port Security.

Al-Sukair pointed out that the migrants who arrived were handed over to the illegal immigrants’ shelter in Misrata. They were of African and Asian nationalities.

Al-Sukair pointed out that the ship Nivin, that rescued the migrants, was on its way to the port of Misrata, loaded with hundreds of cars from an Italian port. He added that the rescue operation was based on the requests of its sector, as the ship was near the site of the boat, that carried 97 migrants.

Al-Sukair explained that the negotiations are continuing with the remaining 90 migrants to be deported to the immigration center
