Meeting regarding mosquitoes in Souq al Jum’aa

On Sunday morning, a meeting was held at the Municipality of Souq al Jum’aa on the topic of the appearance of mosquitoes in the area. The Deputy of the Municipality of Riyad Biram, the Health Office in Souq al Jum’aa, the Office of Facilities and Housing, the Public Services Company’s Spray Unit and the National Health Center attended the meeting.

The topics of the meeting were the mosquitoes and how to increase support to eliminate them, and the possibility of cooperation of neighboring municipalities.

Biram said the first information they received about the problem and spread in the area of the market was connected with the unity of the General Services Company branch of the market and environmental sanitation, housing and utilities in the region. He added that they issued instructions to remove the damage and that they have already been fighting this mosquitoes. But due to lack of potential at the public services and those who have only two cars to spray, as well as the limits of spraying dates were slow control, and they hope that this problem will be avoided in the coming years and fight before spreading.
