The West African Conference on Food Security held in Tunisia

The West African Conference on Food Security was held in Tunisia on Friday, within the framework of the Libyan-Tunisian Partnership.
A number of Arab and African countries and international organizations took part in the two-day conference.
Libyan international expert Abu Bakr Al-Mansoori chaired the conference. He said in a speech that several research papers on making agriculture more productive and sustainable were presented.
The participants also discussed food security strategy for the region.
Chairman of the organizing committee Khawla Triki explained that this conference aims to provide an opportunity for the public and private sectors to connect, communicate and consult on activating research and cooperation in new paths of agriculture and food, and to suggest ways to make agriculture more productive and sustainable.
