A workshop on gender-aware media reporting held for Libyan journalists in Tunisia

A workshop on gender-aware media reporting has concluded in the Tunisian city of Hammamet.

Under the theme “violence against women in elections”, the workshop was organized by the United Nations Women in Libya, in cooperation with the High National Elections Commission.

More than 20 journalists from various Libyan cities took part in the workshop in the presence of the representative of the United Nations Women in Libya and Tunisia Begonia Lasa Gabester.

The five-day workshop focused on the electoral processes in Libya, women’s political participation, gender concepts and dimensions, gender-based power relations concepts and dimensions, and gender-based violence.
