Seminar on the global economic crisis and its repercussions on the Libyan economy

The National Council for Economic and Social Development held a seminar in Tripoli on Monday, under the theme “the global economic crisis and its repercussions on the Libyan economy.”
The acting Minister of Economy, Ali Al-Abed, told journalists that the seminar discussed the food security and the provision of food, referring to several programs in which the Ministry of Economy will cooperate with the Council, including the launch of the Strategic Plan for Food Security 2027.
The Chairman of the Council, Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the seminar addressed the impact of the global economic crisis on the Libyan economy, especially in light of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Al-Futaisi added that there is an internal crisis, warning that if the conflict continues in the eastern European region, there will be a high possibility of food supply crisis.
