NOC Chairman meets UNDP Resident Representative in Libya

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, held a meeting in Tripoli with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya, Marc-André Franche.
The meeting focused on ways of boosting cooperation between the National Oil Corporation and the UNDP.
Franche said that the UNDP aims to expand its activities in Libya by opening branches in many regions and municipalities, noting that local partners are essential for the implementation of UNDP programs.
He added that the UNDP is concerned with several economic, social and environmental issues, confirming that the NOC is an ideal partner to achieve UNDP goals.
For his part, Sanallah praised the work of UNDP in Libya, adding that the NOC and its partners (Repsol, Total, OMV and O’Connor) had great partnership and cooperation with the UNDP during the past years, and through this cooperation many programs were implemented in the fields of water, health, training, maintenance of educational facilities, and youth support.
