7th of July chosen as Local Administration Day in Libya

The Minister of Local Government, Badr El-Din Al-Toumi, held a press conference in Tripoli on Thursday to brief journalists about the first meeting of the Supreme Council for Local Administration.

Al-Toumi announced that the Government of National Unity adopted 2022 as the year of local administration, and that the 7th of July of each year is a national day for local administration.

Al-Toumi added that an amount of 2 billion dinars has been approved for the development projects in the municipalities, stressing that priority is given to supplies related to hygiene products.
