A dust storm sweeps across Tripoli

Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli

A dust storm hit the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Saturday turning the sky orange.

Satellite images showed thick dust storms over the western and southwestern regions of Libya.

In a brief statement, the European Union Mission in Libya said that climate change will cause severe droughts, water shortage, severe fires, rising sea levels, floods, catastrophic storms, biodiversity decline, and challenges in growing food.

The mission considered that Libya is one of the countries in the world most affected by the climate change and high temperatures, calling the Libyan authorities to put plans to fight climate change to mitigate its severe effects on the country.
