The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, held discussions on Sunday with the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis.
Both sides discussed the latest developments in Libya, and the outcomes of the ministerial meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries, recently held in Algeria.
They also discussed Libya’s endeavors to organize and chair an international conference, to be held early next October, as the first purely Libyan initiative aimed at developing practical mechanisms for implementing the outcomes of the Berlin Conferences, and holding the elections at the end of next December.
Kubis welcomed the final statement of the ministerial meeting, as well as the results that have been achieved so far by the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee to unify the Libyan army.
