A fire destroyed hundreds of palm trees in Dirj

A fire broke out in palm tree farms in Awqaz area in the city of Dirj in northwestern Libya.

According to the National Safety Authority, the wind contributed to the spread of the fire which lasted for several hours before being put out.

The fire claimed hundreds of palm trees and killed many animals. The cause of the fire is not known.
