The Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army receives the Chief of the General Staff

The Presidential Council, in its capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, met on Tuesday with the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Al-Haddad, to discuss the latest developments in the unification of the army.

The participants discussed a number of military files including putting up clear mechanisms to unify the military institution away from all political strife, and support efforts to establish a civil state.

They also discussed ways to secure the borders, combat illegal immigration and organized crime, and develop comprehensive plans to organize armed formations.

The Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army had commended the meeting of Lieutenant-General Mohamed Al-Haddad and Lieutenant-General Abdul-Razaq Al-Nadori, in the city of Sirte last Saturday, considering it an important step towards unifying the military institution.
