Tripoli Center municipal elections held on Saturday

Residents of Tripoli Center cast their votes for the new Municipal Council on Saturday.
37 polling centers opened early in the morning to receive 33,740 voters, of whom 20,435 are men and 13,305 are women.
The head of the Electoral Center of Al-Taqadam School, Laila Dafous, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the electoral process started at nine o’clock. She said her center contains five stations, two for women and three for men.
She explained that the turnout was not large in the morning, but after the afternoon it began to increase.
She confirmed that the health and security measures went well according to the plan.
For his part, the security coordinator for the municipal council elections, Ahmed Al-Ahrash, explained that no security breaches have been recorded.
