The US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, spoke by phone on Sunday with the new Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah, to congratulate him on the results of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.
Norland encouraged the Prime Minister to form a small government of technocrats, so that it could quickly gain the confidence of the House of Representatives according to the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum roadmap.
He said the government should start working to meet the urgent needs of Libyan citizens, respond to the Coronavirus pandemic and prepare for the national elections next December.
The United States ambassador wished the new interim executive authority success, expressing his country’s readiness to assist Libya for a stable, prosperous and democratic future.
