The Libyan state won a legal case against a Serbian national in Italy

The Lawsuits Administration of the Supreme Judicial Council has won a legal case lodged by a Serbian national against the state of Libya in the Court of Appeal of Venice in Italy, demanding compensation worth 7 million dollars.
The Serbian plaintiff claimed that the North Tripoli Court of First Instance in Libya had ruled in favour of a lawsuit he filed back in Libya demanding compensation worth 7 million dollars. He, demanded the Court of Appeal of Venice to pay out the cash from Libyan funds in Italy.
The Supreme Judicial Council informed that Italian court that the Serbian’s case is still pending and has yet to be decided. The Court of Appeal of Venice rejected the plaintiff’s lawsuit and ordered him to pay 1650 euros to the defendant as expenses for the case.
