The Libyan Public Prosecutor opens an investigation into the handing over of Libyan citizen to US authorities

The Libyan Public Prosecutor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour said that his office has set up an investigation into the handing over of Libyan citizen Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud to the US authorities.

In response to a question by the Libyan Cloud News Agency, Al-Sour explained that his office received a complaint from Mas’ud’s relatives, and that the handing over took place without the knowledge of the judicial authority or the Office of Public Prosecutor.

He concluded that work is underway to uncover the circumstances of the case.
