The General Authority for Monitoring Media Content signs MoU with Septimius Award

The Head of the General Authority for Monitoring Media Content, Jalal Othman, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Septimius Award, Farida Trebishan.

Othman indicated that this comes within the Authority’s policy of preventive expansion and motivation to anticipate violations before they occur.

For her part, Trebshan clarified that the MoU is based on ensuring that the candidates’ media work is free from violations.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the seminar organized by the Authority on the negative role of social media, with the participation of a number of professors, academics, and researchers in the field of combating hate speech and information disorder.
