The ceremony also included discussions about the dangers of social networking sites and how to reduce them, and the social effects of the wrong use of the Internet.
The director of the Digital Media Center, Mohamed Badiri, told to the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the event aims to provide advice and raise awareness of Internet uses in several fields.
“We, through the general program of the celebration, are trying to provide explanations about the dangers of using the Internet by children and educate their families about it.” He added.
Child Protection Officer at the Higher Committee for Childhood, Hossam El-Din Behairy, said that a draft law on the protection of children on the Internet has been issued which is complementary to the recently issued law on cybercrimes.
