Municipal elections held in Souq Al-Joumaa

The municipal elections for Souq Al-Joumaa district in Tripoli was held on Saturday.

52 polling stations opened their doors at 9 am and continued until 7 pm.

The Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections said that the total number of registered voters reached 48,876, including 29,985 males and 18,891 females.

The committee stated that nine electoral lists participated in the elections, in addition to two female candidates and five people with disabilities.

It added that 181 observers from 10 different organizations monitored the electoral process.
