Libyan Foreign Minister receives Japanese Chargé d’Affairs

Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush held a meeting Sunday with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Libya, Masaaki Amadera.
During his meeting, Amadera appreciated the efforts of the Government of National Unity in dealing with the political and security problems, with the aim of enhancing stability and security in Libya.
He expressed his happiness that the logistical arrangements for the resumption of his work from Tripoli will soon be completed.
The Japanese diplomat commended cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the technological and economic fields, and extended an invitation to Al-Manqoush to participate in “Tokyo” International Conference on Development”, which will be hosted by Tunisia on 27-28 August next.
He also stressed the importance of Libya’s participation in this conference, in light of their efforts to strengthen the African-Japanese partnership, and to achieve the aspirations of the African peoples for stability and prosperity.
For her part, Al-Manqoush stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in the field of economy and education between the two friendly countries, especially because of Japan’s pioneering experience in this field.
Al-Manqoush offered the condolences of the Government of National Unity to Japan over the assassination of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
