Libyan Foreign Minister met with the Egyptian President in Cairo

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Mangoush, met on Sunday, June 20, with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in Cairo.

Al-Mangoush conveyed to Al-Sisi the greetings of the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity, expressing her appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in supporting the Libyan dialogue, national reconciliation efforts and consolidating the ceasefire.

She also expressed her aspiration to enhance cooperation between the two countries and raise the level of mutual diplomatic representation.

For his part, President Al-Sisi renewed Egypt’s support for the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity to perform their tasks leading to the upcoming December 24 elections.
