Libyan and Italian talks on maritime wealth

The Minister of Marine Resources, Adel Al-Obeidi, received the Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, in Tripoli on Tuesday.

 The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of maritime wealth.

The Director of Technical and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Marine Resources, Al-Hadi Al-Turjoman, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the two sides also discussed topics related to training and establishing partnerships and cooperation in the technical, knowledge and research fields.

According to Al-Turjoman, the cooperation also includes marketing Libyan products to European countries.

During the meeting, ambassador Buccino presented an initiative from the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies to train Libyan cadres.

He explained that his country is ready to provide technical assistance and link relations between the Libyan and Italian fishing fleets.
