Libya marks World Accreditation Day

The Libyan Center for Accreditation marked on Wednesday World Accreditation Day, under the theme “Accreditation Supports the Sustainable Development Goals”.

The Director of the Center, Hisham Ahmed, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that World Accreditation Day is celebrated on June 9 of each year.

He said that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 25 September 2015, has at its core 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets with the overarching objective of eradicating poverty and the achievement of justice.

World Accreditation Day is a global initiative established by IAF and ILAC to promote the value of accreditation.
