International Day of Women and Girls in Science marked in Tripoli

The Central Committee for Municipal Councils Elections has organized a workshop in Tripoli on Saturday, February 15, to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The Chairwoman of the Founding Committee of the Supreme Council of Women, Zakia al-Amari told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the situation of the Libyan women is really miserable.

“Two days ago, we lost a woman. She became one of the victims of the war,” she said. She added that the ongoing war has affected women.

The attendees discussed the participation of women in the elections as voters and candidates.

A number of civil society organizations and members of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State attended the workshop.
