German Chancellor told Turkish President that withdrawal of foreign forces from Libya would be an important signal

A spokesman for the German government said that the Chancellor, Angela Merkel, informed the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Wednesday that the withdrawal of foreign forces from Libya would be an important signal.

The spokesman added that Merkel and Erdogan agreed in a video conference to support the Government of National Unity in its efforts to improve the provision of supplies to the population and prepare for the elections by the end of the year.

He pointed out that Merkel confirmed that the early withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries would send an important signal.
