AOHRL calls for the compassionate release of former Libyan intelligence chief

Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli
The Arab Organization for Human Rights in Libya (AOHRL) has appealed to the Public Prosecutor to release former Libyan intelligence chief, Abdullah Al-Senussi, because of his life-threatening health condition.
The AOHRL stated that it had received medical reports from the family of Al-Senussi showing that he has liver cancer.
The organization stressed that his release for health reasons does not prevent the authorities from continuing the investigations if there is a reason to complete them, in addition to the fact that the health release does not negate the previous and future judicial convictions.
