Al-Menfi meets the British Ambassador in Tripoli

The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, in Tripoli on Thursday to discuss the political process in Libya.
Both sides reviewed Britain’s efforts to contribute to solving the Libyan crisis and ways to advance the political process by working on setting a constitutional basis for the elections.
Al-Menfi reiterated the importance of holding elections and said that the initiative of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations is an important step towards consensus for the success of the elections.
The British Ambassador praised the role of the Presidential Council in unifying state institutions, stressing her country’s continued support for all efforts of the Presidential Council to promote stability.
