A training course on the professional coverage of peaceful demonstrations held in Tripoli

Aswat Media Network organized a training course on the professional coverage of peaceful demonstrations, in Tripoli on Thursday.
The course targeted 10 journalists of the various media outlets.
The course focused on the principles of journalism, the code of professional conduct for the media, physical safety in conflict-sensitive areas, and conflict-sensitive journalism.
It also shed light on the Law No 65 for 2012 regarding the right to peaceful demonstrations.
The Chairman of Aswat Media Network, Hussam Al-Tair, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the course comes as part of a series of training courses held by the network to ensure the right to peaceful demonstrations in Libya.
Trainer Wael bin Ismail explained that the purpose of this training is to educate journalists about their rights and obligations while performing their work, especially with regard to the right to peaceful demonstrations or freedom of expression.
