National Book Fair starts in Misrata city

The second session of the National Book Fair kicked off on Tuesday, December 24, in Misrata city, which coincides with the commemoration of the 68th anniversary of the Independence Day of Libya.
56 publishing houses and libraries from several cities and regions are taking part in the book fair which showcases a variety of books in many cultural, scientific, religious and historical fields with over 20,000 titles.
The program of the book fair also includes an art exhibition of photographs and paintings.
The Chairman of the Culture Authority, Hassan Onis, the Head of the Publishers Union Ali Owain, the Mayor of Misrata Municipality, Mohamed Toumi, and the former Minister of Culture and Civil Society, Habib Al-Amin, attended the opening ceremony.
The book fair continues until January 03.
