The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Manqoush, made two phone calls on Friday with her Tunisian counterpart, Othman Jarandi, to inquire about the continued closure of Ras Ajdir and Dhiba-Wazen border crossings on the Tunisian side.
Al-Manqoush briefed Jarandi on the suffering of the travellers on both sides from the closure, especially the patients.
The Tunisian minister explained that they have no objection to reopening the crossings, stressing that they will do so as soon as they receive permission from the scientific committee concerned with confronting the Coronavirus.
He confirmed that the continued closure of the crossings is a precautionary health measure, aimed at protecting the citizens of the two countries and limiting the spread of this pandemic in the two countries.
