The HNEC started the voter registration for the upcoming elections

The High National Election Commission (HNEC) opened on Sunday the media center for the upcoming elections on December 24 next.
In an official ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, the HNEC announced the launch of the process of updating the voter registration in preparation for the elections.
Addressing the ceremony, Al-Dabaiba called all Libyan people to unite to enjoy their wealth and achieve their aspirations for development and prosperity.
He urged them to participate in the electoral process to bring the country to safety.
Al-Dabaiba considered that the start of the voter registration process is a positive step to hold free and transparent elections on time, stressing that he will do everything in his power to make the electoral process a success.
The Prime Minister added that the government will provide all support to the HNEC by allocating financial resources and preparing to protect the elections, in parallel with improving citizens’ living conditions, unifying security institutions and raising their level of performance to confront terrorism and organized crime.
