The 24th of December Election Movement held its first meeting in Tripoli on Tuesday.
Attended by members of the movement and a number of civil society organizations, the meeting aimed at unifying the efforts and opinions of all institutions of the Libyan society without exception, and to discuss the constitutional vision of the movement.
A member of the Libyan Amazigh Civil Organization, Abdul Al-Razzaq Henshir told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the idea of holding the first meeting came because of their lack of confidence in the existing bodies to hold the elections.
A member of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, Lamis bin Saad, explained that democracy will not be achieved with elections, and the constitutional basis for the elections that is being discussed in the forum must be on sound foundations in order for fair elections to be achieved.
